San Jose Grand Prix
San Jose, CA - The SJGP was in town and a few Formula DRIFT drivers were slated for Team Tandem competition as well, so I went downtown to see what I could see. Unfortunately I didn't get to stay for Sunday since I had to fly up to Seattle to get married. I think it was worth it though.

DRIFTxBATTLE Buttonwillow
Buttonwillow, CA - DriftxBattle branched out from Alatamont to incude Buttonwillow for one of its venues, so I headed down with the rest of the SDP crew in the Dirty Van, with the blue LS1 FC on the trailer. The track was split into the East and West loops and it was at least a million degrees all day. The event was super fun with few issues besides the FC blowing off a fuel line and getting engulfed in flames...

Grip & Slip #3
Willows, CA - NCDA and Lazy Penguin teamed up to host the third installment of the popular Grip & Slip series at Thundehill Raceway, where drivers have a choice of joining one of two grip groups, or the drift group. It was way over 100 degrees out there, and the cars were feeling it.
